Public transport: 

Kew Bridge Mainline Station: 7 minute walk to Kew Bridge mainline station with regular trains to London Waterloo station. 

Gunnersbury Underground station: (District Line and London Overground line through North London) a ten minute walk. From the house, turn left into Waldeck Road, take the footbridge over the rail line, walk up Brooks Rd and turn right into Wellesley Rd. Entrance to Gunnersbury station is on the right down lane as you cross the railway line.  

Buses: from Kew Bridge go towards Richmond, Brentford and Shepherds Bush. 

Shops: There is a convenience store, butchers and dry cleaners on Strand on the Green and a Sainsbury’s Local and Costa Coffee at Kew Bridge. There are a selection of good local restaurants along with three pubs in close walking distance along Strand on the Green – the closest is the Bell & Crown which is at the end of Pyrmont Road a few doors away. The Bulls Head and City Barge are a short walk along the river. For a larger selection of shops and restaurants, Chiswick High Road is 20 minutes walk away, or reachable by local bus, as is Richmond.

Parks: Kew Gardens is just across Kew Bridge. Syon Park is a short distance away in Isleworth. Chiswick Park is a 15 minute walk.
