The house is in the most exclusive part of Westbury Leigh and is very quiet and peaceful. Westbury station is a 10 minute drive, or you can use the station at Dilton Marsh which is a 5 minute walk. There is private, off street parking for 3 cars and the pretty garden wraps around the house and is lawned with a lovely patio for al fresco dining. The ground floor has wooden floors while the upstairs has had new carpets throughout. We do not wear shoes above ground floor.
This house is suited to a small family or couple who love the idea of a country house, but set on the borders of a town. The nearest shops are a short 5 minute drive and there you will find a Tesco, pizza restaurant and excellent fish and chips. The centre of Westbury has a Morrisons, 2 chemists, baker, ironmongers and a couple of cafés. There is also a very good Lidl and Aldi, and there are restaurants of every kind, all within a short distance. The Hollies pub is on the same road as the house. The town is nestled below the famous white horse and there are lots of lovely country walks. Longleat is 10 mins by car and Westbury has a very famous Victorian swimming pool. The gorgeous independent shops in Frome are a short distance and within half an hour, you will be in the centre of the world héritage City of Bath or Salisbury if you head south.
This house has been our home and is a wonderful place to live being peaceful, bright and warm. We have good internet, central Heating and the house has had all windows replaced which makes it cosy in cold weather.
We would be happy to leave furniture if needed, or let unfurnished.
We are looking for tenants who will look after the house as their home, treating it with respect.
