The oak beamed kitchen-diner-lounge is 21 square metres and has an efficient log burner, dining table and comfy sofa (which coverts to a sofa bed for your guests) and is on the ground floor with access through French doors to a large lit patio-garden area for the personal use of annex residents.

Lodger(s) are free to pop into the main house to hang out, but have plenty of personal space, and a real sense of their own place and home within the property. NB: As we are a family home dbs checks are required on all housemates. We can advise on how to get this if you've never had to do one before- it's quite easy to do.
The annex also houses our home office which is accessed up the same stairs as the bedroom. We use the office during the working week but like to give space to our lodgers during evenings and weekends. There is a further shared workshop room, chest freezer and washer drier in the garage section of the annex.
