The house is arranged such that you (and a second lodger) have as much of your own space as you want. In addition to your private en suite room, you have access to a private lounge just for lodgers, dining area just for lodgers, reserved driveway parking, and open garden spaces. The shared kitchen offers two full size fridge-freezers, large private cupboards for storage, dishwasher, and a huge washing machine and dryer, to make sure day-to-day life is always convenient. We, as landlords, have our own private living and dining areas too. We respect your space, but we’re also friendly people, and look forward to socialising if you feel like it :)
Situated in a quiet residential area of Mackworth and overlooking the community green, we have local shops, post office and other amenities just a few minutes walk away. With a bus stop right across the road, it’s also easy to get to Derby city centre, and Royal Derby Hospital is just a 6-minute drive away.
We are flexible, open-minded, and laid-back people, so anything you need just ask :) We also volunteer for Guide Dogs, and are currently raising a gentle and well-behaved Labrador puppy who will become a guide dog for people with vision loss, so if you like dogs that’s a plus!
Rooms are available to move in immediately and you’ll enjoy all the features that our lovely home has to offer: ample driveway parking, a relaxing, well-kept and sunny back garden where we grow some of our own food, and environmentally friendly living thanks to the solar panels fitted on our roof. The rooms come fully furnished and all bills are included (water, gas, electricity, high-speed internet, TV licence and council tax band A).
If you have an electrical vehicle (EV), EV charging can be arranged, so please let us know if this is a requirement for you (EV charging of your personal vehicle would not be included in the bills)
