Rooms (mainly ensuite double ) and huge bed-sitting rooms available for rent in peaceful shared houses in Dumfries. Housebills included in rent. Suitable for singles, couples/twins, long or short-term. The houses are well-maintained, clean, warm and comfortable. All the properties are situated in or around Dumfries town centre. Housebills and wifi are included in the rent (business wifi with 4g backup so reliable). Most houses have private car parks and gardens as well as bicycle storage.
The existing tenants are peaceful and considerate professionals, and, in some houses, one or two sensible mature students. There is a friendly atmosphere in the houses but no parties as people are in employment. It's fine to invite a friend to visit.
Total number of rooms per property ranges from 4 to 22 and all kitchens/sitting rooms are uncrowded as they are large (more than one in most houses) and many tenants work shifts/eat at work (NHS professionals).
One house is between the town centre and the Infirmary (Hollybank) and another is between the town centre and the Crichton Campus / Mountainhall Hospital (Moorheads). Others are in the town centre (Whitesands and 1 Old Union Street) and one is on the east side of town with a large garden and private parking (Orchard House, 298 Annnan Road). Each house/room has its own unique style (all of the same high quality) so there is generally something to please any viewer.
The rooms have double/king-sized bed, other bedroom furniture and desk and chair, Several have a sofa/armchair. Most rooms have full ensuite facilities (shower, basin and toilet). In the 2 larger houses (Hollybank and Moorheads), washing machines and dryers are coin-operated at £3/£4 to wash and 50p/£1 to dry (large commercial machines which take big loads). In the other houses the cost of these is included in the rent. Other housebills are included in the rent (council tax, utilities, waste disposal, licence for shared Tv, wifi).

Rent for currently available rooms (ie from January/February) is £550 - £690 (depending on room size etc. There is a small surcharge for a couple/twin (approx £30-£60/month).
There is a weekly cleaner and we provide a 24 hour emergency call-out service.
Some of the rooms in Hollybank are wheelchair accessible.
We are willing to consider pets in some of the houses, and would welcome them if we feel they would happy and wouldn't pose any problems for housemates or us. Some houses are pet-free.
It's strictly no-smoking indoors.
The maximum number of tenants per room is two.
