The building is above a row of shops, though it is set back from the main road. There is no access for vehicles, pedestrian access to the townhouse is from either sides of the building,  Hillhead Road steps or Cecil Street. There is no private parking. On street parking at paid meters is available in nearby streets. There is an excellent bus service and underground service situated close by.

The converted flat is on the second floor of a townhouse, involving two flights of stairs—approximately 45 steps in total—with no lift. 

The flat faces Great Western Road, a main road, so there is traffic noise and, at times, party revelers speaking loudly in the street. The windows are not double-glazed. 

The one-bedroom flat is warm and cosy. Entry is through a small hallway. There is one bedroom with a double bed and a foldable storage bed, with a clothes rail available. The kitchen space is open plan off the living room which is a fair size, a sofabed is also in the living room.  There is a small shower room with a WC and washbasin. The flat has central heating and heavy thermal curtains. The cooker hob is gas, and the oven is electric. There is a good Wi-Fi connection.
