1 Bed Flat, Maclise Road, W14
Overview
Bedrooms: 1 | Bathrooms: 1 |
Max Tenants: 2 | Location: Kensington, Olympia |
Description
Looking for: Single or couple to rent for 3 months (possibly more) while I am abroad for work/travel. Apartment would suit a professional couple, with good access to Mayfair/Green Park and The City. Imperial College and The Royal College of Music are not far away. You will have exclusive access to the whole apartment (apart from the second bedroom). Move in date flexible for early January.
Apartment: Extending across the entire top floor, this 700 ft (approx), split-level apartment is self-contained with views over Kensington, towards Holland Park. From the front door (a security door) a private staircase, with a coat-rack and shoe area, leads up to the landing, featuring an electric-opening skylight allowing for extensive daylight and fresh-air. Off this is the reception room/diner, bathroom, bedrooms and the separate kitchen/diner, plus a walk-in cupboard for storage.
The apartment has a beach-house feel, with some traditional family furniture, as well as a wide selection of books. The local area is safe, peaceful and full of character, with the impressive listed building of the Victoria and Albert Museum repository visible from the kitchen window, which you may recognise from a number of films, such as Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy. The Olympia exhibition centre is close by, and currently undergoing extensive renovation, but this has not be a problem for us here at all.
