This second floor two-bedroom shared flat is set within an imposing Victorian mansion (built 1860). One bedroom is available to rent from October 27th on a shared living basis. The house was converted into flats 30 years ago, but we have done a full eco-refurbishment of this flat. Couples welcome! All bills included!

The location could not be better: set back from the road, but literally 1 minute from the railway station, with the city centre just a little further. Both bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms, with the available bedroom 1 having large windows giving great views out towards the Lakeland hills. The room is approx 15 sqm in floor area excluding the en-suite. There is a built-in wardrobe and the room is fully furnished. As you can see, there is lots of warm timber in the flat. The en-suite bathroom is fully tiled and has a large (120x80cm) walk-in shower.

There is a pleasant front garden with benches for all our tenants to enjoy; the lawn is surrounded by bushes and fruit trees, maintained by a professional gardener. The bedrooms overlook the back garden, as pictured. The flat benefits from very high levels of thermal and sound insulation (EPC 83=B), central heating with full heating controls, with wifi and hard-wired high-speed broadband, and TV points in every room.

A very large dining kitchen has ample shared space, with a window to the front giving an excellent view. The kitchen has lots of storage and preparation space, designed for two to cook at the same time. The flat has a tumble dryer, washing machine, dishwasher, and many original architectural features have been retained.

In addition to the large kitchen there is a small 'snug' living room, with comfy sofas and a TV. I am wanting someone looking to rent for the longer tem. An initial 8-12-month contract will be offered. If a couple want to take the room, then an extra £100/month will be charged.

Your rent is fully inclusive of broadband, gas, electric and water, TV licence and council tax. All bills including Council Tax are included. If you have a car, then you will need a Resident's street parking permit which costs just £25/yr. But there is storage for bicycles at the property.  Finally, as a tenant you will be joining Lancaster's 'Green Door' community, of environmentally conscious renters.
