Forest Gate is roughly a mile from Stratford, which has great transport connections, a ton of shopping at Westfield, and a town centre that's currently being refurbished. There's also a low traffic neighbourhood and protected cycle lane (CS2) making it safe to cycle all the way to the City and even Kings Cross. The neighbours are lovely and quiet, there's a real community here and people look out for one another. There's a market on Saturdays, loads of local shops, bars and cafes on the high street and lots of quirky businesses under the various arches of the Overground line, from cafes to pubs and a wine bar, to reformer Pilates. There is a small community garden to the front of the building.
