Room 1 - En-suite Room
Priced at £1,600 - Very large sized double (the size of a bedsit!!) set downstairs from the the sitting room and kitchen, with an en-suite containing full size desk / office chair, two seat sofa and generous window with lots of natural light. The room has so much space that it really is ideal for WFH. You'll be able to have your own quiet space away from the rest of the flat. Its size is very unusual for Central London.
.
The flat
The flat is made up of 4 double rooms, all with en-suite bathrooms, set over two levels. The sitting room is is large and provides a great communal space for flatmates to mix and enjoy each others company. It has a small, but functional kitchen with washing machine and dishwasher.
The flat share
This flatshare will be fun, without being intrusive, but should provide a social network if you want it. It clearly suits those who want to live close to their work, but enjoy an a central urban neighbourhood close to work and without a long commute. It offers so much on your door step. It has provided a home for many people since i purchased it in 2010, mainly but not exclusively, lawyers, bankers, management consultants, accountants and insurance workers and more recently those who work in the tech world. It tends to attract ambitious people who work hard but also enjoy all that Bermondsey St and the neighbourhood has to offer. The flat, as you'd expect in London is ethnically diverse.
The Area
Bermondsey St has many bars, coffee shops, restaurants and boutiques and is full of charm and character. It's vibrant and is the a great place for hanging out and relaxing with friends at any time of day, but comes alive at night and is wonderful at weekends. It's located in the heart of what must be London's gastronomic centre with Borough Market, Rope Walk and Spa terminal close by. Also close by is Flat Iron Square and Elephant and Castle which now offers some great places to hang out (yes really!). The Bermondsey Mile, as it is now known, runs under the railway arches of London Bridge and consists of more that half a dozen breweries and gin distilleries. You can explore, taste and drink all that it has to offer. I live in the area and love my weekends!
Current flatmates
The current flatshare is well established with current tenants having moved in up to two year ago but often tenants stay for several years. Currently it consist of two bankers (make / male) and a Tech worker (female). They are all enjoying the flat, are sociable, but respectful but also travel quite a bit.
Me as a landlord!
I am a flexible landlord who respects and appreciates his tenants and understands the demands placed on most who work in Central London, as i worked and lived in zone 1 & 2 for over 25 years! I've also lived in the area and have a family close by, in the heart of Bermondsey. I am passionate about this vibrant area of London.
If there is a problem you need resolving, partnership will be key to resolving it - I won't keep you waiting endlessly. I would be more than happy for you to discuss how I treat my tenants and my approach to running their and what could be your home!
