Our flat is a beautiful 1950s-style home with three spacious double bedrooms, located on the second floor of a well-maintained building. It features a south-facing balcony with lush green views, perfect for soaking up the sun or enjoying your morning coffee. The flat is full of period charm, with plenty of natural light, especially in the bright living and dining room, where we love to relax. The kitchen and bathroom are ample, and the shared living spaces are furnished with everything you need to feel at home.
We also have a sunny back communal garden that’s great for hanging out, and the flat comes with access to Sydenham Hill Woods—perfect for nature lovers. There’s a lift in the building, parking if needed, and a gardener and caretaker on site to keep everything in top shape.
About the Room:
The available room is large, partly furnished with a comfortable full bed, and includes a built-in wardrobe. There’s plenty of space for a chest of drawers or a desk—or both! The room gets beautiful light all day, making it perfect for plants or just enjoying a warm, welcoming atmosphere. You’ll have a blank canvas to make this space your own, as the rest of the flat is already furnished.
About the Location:
We’re located in the lovely Sydenham Hill area (SE23), within walking distance of the Horniman Museum Gardens and Sydenham Woods. It’s a peaceful, green neighborhood with plenty of local shops, cafes, and restaurants nearby. You’re just a short walk (10 minutes) from Forest Hill station, which offers quick connections to central London. Lordship Lane, with its vibrant selection of stores, pubs, and eateries, is also within easy reach. We’re well connected to other nearby areas like Crystal Palace and Peckham, with a quick bus ride to the buzzing local scenes.
About Us:
We’re a couple—Joe, who is the head of the arts department at a school in Peckham, and myself, in between jobs ATM. We’re both passionate about art and design, and we love to go on walks with our small, friendly dog, Archie. During the week, Joe is at school from 8 am to 5 pm, while I work from home in our third bedroom, which I’ve set up as my office.
We’re clean, tidy, and enjoy a peaceful atmosphere. We love to relax with a drink and a chat, but we also value our quiet time. Our home is our sanctuary, a place to unwind from the stresses of the day, and we’re looking for someone who shares that vibe. It’s not a party flat, but a cozy, welcoming space where you can truly feel at home.
Who We’re Looking For:
We’re looking for a single occupant, 28+ years old, who is in full-time employment and works on-site (though we’re open to considering hybrid work). You should be respectful, tidy, friendly, and definitely a dog lover, as Archie is a big part of our lives. He’s a chilled-out Pomeranian who mostly sleeps all day and is well-behaved.
Rent & Bills:
The rent is £1,050 per month, INCLUDING bills (council tax, water, gas, electricity, broadband, and a cleaner twice a month).
