Lovely spacious flat with huge roof terrace – Monday to Friday (£1,000/mth) or full-time (£1,350/mth). In the interests of full transparency, my preference is Monday to Friday so I will be giving people looking for this priority. 

Large light double bedroom for rent with a huge amount of storage - four large floor to ceiling fitted wardrobes, two bedside tables, a chest of drawers, desk and office chair with plenty of space to work. You have a private bathroom which is almost directly opposite (I have my own ensuite) with power shower.

I’m open to Monday to Friday options or full-time if you are someone who goes away for work or on holiday a bit – as I like to have guests or my parents & dog to visit every so often (and stay in the other spare room).

Location:

I love living here as it’s situated in the heart of beautiful Battersea, a 5 minute walk to two parks (one with free tennis course), a 10 minute walk to the River Thames and Battersea Park, and an 8 minute walk from Clapham Junction station which is the busiest rail station in Britain, running to Victoria and Waterloo and every few minutes. There’s also a lot of buses which I use a lot as they’re a nicer way to travel.

Shopping and entertainment areas Clapham Junction and Northcote Road are close by. There is a Sainsbury’s Local and Tesco Express and local fruit and veg markets all in a 3 minute radius. Lidl, ASDA, Waitrose, WholeFoods and M&S are 10 minutes away by foot.

The House:

The flat is very spacious, light and modern with 3 good sized bedrooms (the third is the room through to the terrace so it’s used as a spare room, very occasionally for guests). It is on the second floor, and has a lovely huge private roof terrace which gets the sun all day and is just gorgeous in the summer. It’s the reason I bought the flat! Equipped with 3 outdoor seating areas, a BBQ and lots of plants which make it a very tranquil place to sit out for a coffee or dinner.

Housemate:

You’d be living with me: Helen, I’m 34 and work in communications. I’m sociable, love music and the odd festival, cooking, playing tennis, going to yoga and mad about travel. I also like my quiet time and I think I'm a considerate housemate!

I work from home 3.5 days a week, and go to the office in the city once a week.

Availability

The flat is available to rent almost immediately as my housemate is moving in with his girlfriend.

Cleaner

Comes weekly so the place is always super clean, changes sheets for Monday to Friday tenants, and can iron shirts for small extra cost.

Cost

Monday to Friday only – £1,000 including bills.

Full time - £1,350 including bills.
