Description
Large double en suite room in shared townhouse available from early to Mid November. En suite has shower, toilet and sink. Built in wardrobes, excellent insulation, room in good condition. We need to re paint the available room and you could potentially choose the colour if we agree sufficiently in advance of move in date.
All bills inc council tax included and fast broadband.
We would prefer long term housemate but would consider short term. Previous housemates were here for 2 years and ones before that also for 2 years.
Usual white goods in kitchen to share/use ie built in oven, gas hobs, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge freezer.
Garden is lovely when it's warm and we even have a pear tree that produces fruit every year :-)
There is a big kitchen/diner room with big sofa rather than separate kitchen and front room. There is a monitor that we hook up laptop to when we collectively want to stream live TV or Netflix, Amazon etc.
Driveway isn't used by the three of us most of the time so if you have a car you can park right outside. At the end of a quiet cul de sac with friendly and quiet neighbours. 5 mins walk for buses to central London and under 10 to 15 mins walk to Peckham Rye and Queens Road Peckham train stations as well as being close to Peckham Levels, South London Gallery and Bellenden Road if you're into arts/clubbing and 10 mins from multi sports facility at Burgess Park if that's what you're into.
Available until at least summer of 2026 and possibly afterwards but we'd consider someone only able to commit to summer 2025.
Sharing with we three siblings (one female, two males) who are mix of studying, undergrad and post grad. My thing is playing football, one of my brothers lives in the gym and the other is an academic and massive nerd so you've got a mix of interests :-)
We're all very friendly, talk and laugh a lot. We do not have loud parties in the house (it's a young family/young professional type of street rather than a loud party sort of street). We've all grown up around the neighbourhood so know lots of the neighbours and if you're new to the area we can show you around.
Happy to consider pets eg cats and small animals that may live in your room. We are dog people but won't take any dogs in the house as pets because they can make a mess.
We all regularly have friends to visit and eat etc and as the new member of the household/family of course that would apply to you. However, we also have a rule between us that no one stays overnight without prior agreement with the rest of the house. We expect all housemates to abide by that.
The house is owned by our family so we treat the house well, get any maintenance done quickly when needed and keep it in good condition at all times.
