The Area

This three-bedroom terraced house is situated in a lovely cul-de-sac location off Victoria Drive, where you can enjoy the quietness of a residential area with limited traffic and 20-mile-an-hour speed limits.

It is within walking distance of Southfields Village with its shops, library, restaurants and other amenities, including the District Line tube station. The open spaces of Wimbledon Common and Wimbledon Park, with their various recreational facilities, are only a few blocks away.

The closest shop is a Co-op Food outlet within a 7-minute walk.

You will also have the chance to experience the buzz and excitement during the Wimbledon Tennis Grand Slam tournament every July and maybe bump into a tennis player on your way to a coffee shop…as you would become a SW19 resident!

 

Southfields is a highly desirable location, as it is perfectly connected to commute in and out of London:

-              Bus 39 bus stop is located just one minute from your doorstep and brings you to Clapham Junction or Putney Bridge

-              District Line Southfields Tube station is only about ten minutes away walking or even less if you take the bus 39

-              Putney train station is 15 minutes away with bus 39 and connects you with Vauxhall or Waterloo in no time with remarkable frequency

-              Clapham Junction train station is 24 minutes away with bus 39 and offers you even more connections

The Property

This is a three-bedroom terraced house that offers comfortable accommodation over three floors, and it has just been entirely re-decorated, including brand-new wooden flooring on the ground floor.

It has a locked gate at the entrance for additional safety and door opening for answering deliveries. Combined with a high-quality door equipped with trusted Banham double locks, you are moving into a secure home.

The ground floor is a large communal space with an equipped open-plan kitchen, dining, and sitting areas, including three high chairs to eat in the bar area.

Additional appliances include a dishwasher, washer-dryer and microwave oven.

The conservatory gives access to the rear backyard where you can enjoy the outdoor smell of jasmine surrounded by vegetation on the fences or grill your meat on the BBQ.

What makes this house share special?

Although there are three bedrooms, this is a house share in which you will mostly cohabitate with one other person. I have moved out of London with my family and will commute every two weeks for work to stay from Monday evening to Friday morning. This means that you will enjoy the house almost every weekend of the year as a two-person house share – I may have to stay on the odd occasion.  

 

Your room

This is the only room on the top floor, and it enjoys the most light in the house. It offers direct and private access to the decked rooftop terrace, which is south-facing and has an outdoor shower—perfect for rinsing off that sweat after a sun-tanning session!

It is large enough for a double bed plus a desk and has a wall-mounted smart TV with a Blu-ray player. Perfect for a movie night in your own room!

It has enough storage space so that you don’t need any wardrobe or chest drawers.

The room is currently unfurnished for people who wish to come with their own stuff. Furnishing could be arranged upon request.

 

The charges

Your contribution for full-time room usage is £267.99 pcm in addition to the monthly rent. This includes council tax, water and energy utilities, broadband, TV license, home insurance (building and content), insurance for dishwasher and washer-dryer, and 4-hour weekly cleaning.

Charges may increase in price in the future, but I will provide a full breakdown of the cost allocation to explain any rise.

 

How to apply?

Register your interest on the OpenRent website so that we can arrange a first meeting over video conference to get to know each other and assess chemistry.

A visit to the property can be arranged on w/c September 30th, when we are back in London.

There is a similar listing for the other room on the 1st floor at a £100 lower rental cost, which does not have access to the rooftop terrace.
