The Studio has been newly refurbished to the highest standards in August 2024, by Howard and his expert contractors.

The Studio Garden has been newly redesigned by Howard in Summer 2024, with Roses, Jasmines, Lavenders and Passion Flowers...and a water hose to wash your bike or your muddy boots after exploring the lake and nature reserve nearby!    

The Studio Garden is a south-facing sun trap!  Howard is very happy to provide garden chairs and tables, and even a parasol if needed.  There is already a bike stand in the garden, hiding behind Howard's garden shed.  An outdoor clothes dryer is available if needed, as well as indoor clothes airers to use in the bathroom where there is silent passive ventilation for natural drying.

There is free car parking on the quiet cul-de-sac nearby...for residents and guests, as part of the Christie Hospital Resident Parking Scheme.

The Studio has varnished wooden floors, with efficient warm-water underfloor heating.  The heating system was upgraded in March 2024, with digital thermostats and time controls.  The warm water comes from Howard's boiler in his home.  There is no gas supply in the Studio.  

The main room of the Studio has a comfortable two-seat sofa bed, a table and chair (facing the window overlooking the Garden), shelves, storage furniture, a reading lamp, a cupboard with full-length mirror, and a Bosch washing machine.

The Kitchen was hand-made to Howard's design, with the same top quality appliances that he chose for his own home.  Neff Compact Oven with Microwave option.   De Dietrich Induction Hob for two pans with separate timer and temperature controls.  Bosch Fridge with frozen food compartment.  Tri-Flow Tap with filtered drinking water from Thirlmere in the Lake District National Park.  An Air Fryer is available if required.

Howard has filled the Studio Kitchen with all the accessories that he has found to be essential in his own home, including steamer pans that can cook healthy meals of vegetables and fish in less than 20 minutes on the induction hob.  Steaming is much healthier than frying.  The Passivent ceiling ventilator provides silent and efficient removal of steam from the Kitchen.

There is a cleaning cupboard with a full-size vacuum cleaner, a Lakeland floor mop, an ironing board and a steam iron.

Howard designed the Bathroom to be identical to the luxury bathroom in his own home...except there was no space for a bath in the studio.  He chose Portuguese Limestone for the floor and the walls, Laufen for the wash basin and toilet, Hansgrohe for the shower system, and Koralle for the shower cubicle.  The Passivent ceiling ventilator opens and closes silently in response to steam from the shower and moisture from the clothes dryer.

The Studio is in a perfect location for frequent Metrolink Trams and Bee Network Buses to City Centre, Universities, Hospitals and Airport.

The Studio is within walking distance of a wide range of high quality independent shops, cafés and restaurants, in Withington Village, Didsbury Village and West Didsbury.  There are many excellent supermarkets within walking distance.

The Studio is within walking or running distance of two of South Manchester's most popular Leisure Centres, with swimming, sauna, gym, Yoga, running, football, and many other classes and activities.

Howard is very happy to provide the Studio with equipment for Home Exercise, Yoga and Pilates at no extra charge.

There are many beautiful parks and walks to explore nearby, including the Mersey Valley riverside walks, lakes and nature reserves.

The tenant will pay Council Tax to Manchester City Council.  The Band A Council Tax is currently £86.18 per month with the single person discount.
