Tenancy information
Prospective tenants are required one weeks rent also known as a 'Holding Reserve' in order to hold the property and remove from the market. If you are successful this is then deducted from your first months rent upon move in and is non-refundable should the tenant change their mind or provide false or misleading information within the referencing procedure and fail.
A deposit of 5 weeks the rental value (unless the annual rental value is above £50,000 per annum and therefore increases to a 6 week deposit) and is logged with the Deposit Protection Scheme. This amount needs to be paid within 15 days of placing your offer and paying your Holding Reserve.
