We are really situated in the hamlet of Stretton - Cheshire West & Chester Council deemed that we be included in the postcode for Tilston Village. The Cock O Barton pub is at the end of the lane, within Tilston is the Carden Arms, a village hall, a tiny shop, junior school and Church. If you drive further 10 mins away is Malpas a vibrant and popular small town with a doctors surgery and local shops, pubs and restaurants that leads onto the larger town of Whitchurch with a good rail network to Manchester, Crewe, London etc
We are also served by Farndon another popular village with a doctors surgery which takes you through to Chester on the country roads that really follows the River Dee and via the stunning village of Pulford owned by the Grosvenor Estate, Either way to Chester from Broxton or via Farndon the drive time is 30 mins. For those driving to the Chester business park you can go via Broxton via Wrexham or through the villages of Holt, Rossett and past the official drive of the Grosvenor Estate. 
Wrexham is 10 mins away which has a newly built and brilliant M&S food hall and, when Mr Ryan Reynolds is visiting his club you could car share as he stays at Carden Park. 

Sports:
For those who love golf, tennis, running, gym, yoga, keep fit, swimming, cycling, it is enthusiasts dream. Gentle walks you could walk for miles, take a few tea/coffee stops at various points and double back all within the 165 acres of the Carden Estate, if you venture outside the lanes are quiet. The Carden Spa is award winning and very special. They also have a good restaurant that has just been awarded something or other (bit pricey though!)
If you are ramblers, there are so many trails to venture out you can either start at home or within an 8 minute drive park up further on up the hill and walk up to Bickerton and Peckerfon hills where you can see Wales, Shropshire, The Wirral, Liverpool and beyond to Manchester on a clear day. Dog days are wonderful and the opportunities are plentyful. Some of the neighbours champion the junior football clubs at the schools and help out, others are keen cyclists and there is a small group in the village that form a cycling team from Spring to Autumn if you wanted company on your days out. Chester and Whitchurch have great Rugby and Cricket clubs, Chester also has 3 rowing clubs, Padel tennis, American football, basketball etc. You name it Chester has it and the University is coming on leaps and bounds.
