A fast train from Richmond Station gets to Waterloo in 15 minutes. Richmond is also a District Line tube station. The River Thames and Richmond Lock Footbridge is just a few minutes walk away. From there it is a 10 minute walk aross the Old Deer Park to a leisure centre with indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a gym and tennis courts.
St Margarets, midway between Richmond and Twickenham, is home to Twickenham (Film) Studios, and has a friendly village atmosphere. There is a Tesco Express right next to the station, a Pilates Studio, hairdressers, pharmacy, numerous cafés, shops and restaurants. Richmond is the greenest of all the London boroughs, great for runs along the Thames or a cycle ride around Richmond Park.
