Application Process

Our Intermediate Rent scheme is intended to help first time buyers who can’t yet afford to buy a home, but want to save for a deposit to purchase a home.

The rent is approximately 20% lower than what you would expect to pay on the private market, for a similar property type and location. Our Intermediate rent properties are let on an Assured Shorthold Tenancy basis.

To be eligible for Intermediate Rent, you must meet certain criteria:

Your total household income must be less than than £80,000
You must be unable to afford to buy a suitable property on the open market.
You must not already own another home.
You must be able to afford 80% of the local market rent and be economically active.
For some developments, there may be additional criteria such as priority given to those who are employed in a key worker profession.

Applicants will be required to complete an application form, and be subject to reference checks, affordability assessment and one months rent.
