Verified Tenant is a service that tenants can opt for and pay to provide a level of verification, enabling tenants to present themselves as trustworthy candidates to landlords.
Tenant Referencing is a more comprehensive and thorough verification service paid for by the landlords themselves. It encompasses a detailed screening process, going beyond the standard credit check, to assess potential tenants' suitability and reliability.
The Verified Tenant service, speeds up the process of Tenant Referencing if a landlord accepts a Verified Tenant and proceeds to referencing.
Tenant Referencing ensures landlords can delve deeper into a tenant's background, providing them with greater confidence and assurance in their decision-making process.
The Verified Tenant status remains valid for a period of 60 days from the date of completion.
After the 60-day period elapses, tenants may consider renewing their status to continue enjoying the advantages of a trusted and verified rental candidate in the eyes of prospective landlords.
Anyone can apply for Verified tenant but to succesfully pass as a Verified Tenant the applicant will be subject to passing a credit check.
The application process usually takes around 10 minutes to complete.
OpenRent does not currently offer multiple Verified Tenant applications.
